Robert's formula usually consists of cabbage leaf, geranium, marshmallow, slippery elm, echinacea and goldenseal. It sometimes contains bismuth, which kills H. Pylori, usually found in upper GI ulceration, as well as other microorganisms. Although never fully studied in placebo-controlled trials, Robert's Formula has long been favored by natural doctors treating suspected inflammation in the GI tract. A typical dose is at least one capsule tid between meals. |
